OUR STORY

The Hope and Remembrance Foundation was created in loving memory of my son, Jason Barber, and my nephew, Blaine Smith, two lives deeply cherished, whose absence is felt every single day.Their stories are not defined by how they were lost, but by how they lived, how they loved, and the impact they had on those around them. In the wake of unimaginable loss, it became clear that more must be done to ensure that others do not have to experience the same heartbreak. This foundation was born from that purpose. We believe that education, training, and open conversations can save lives. Too often, people struggle in silence, and those around them may not recognize the signs or know how to help. By equipping communities with the tools and knowledge they need, we aim to create a world where no one feels alone, and where help is always within reach. Jason and Blaine’s legacy lives on through this mission, to bring hope where there is darkness, to remember with love, and to turn pain into purpose.
